  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup whole buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 2 (1 oz) bottles red food coloring
  • 1 (3 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Prepare a 9-inch springform pan by pressing the graham cracker crumb mixture into the bottom.
  2. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese and sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Blend in cocoa powder, sour cream, buttermilk, vanilla extract, and red food coloring until fully combined.
  4. Pour the mixture over the crust and bake for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes or until set. Let cool before removing from the pan.
  5. For the frosting, beat together softened cream cheese and butter with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread over the cooled cheesecake.
