  • ½ cup water
  • 4 cups granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Rinse peaches under cool water, then blanch in boiling water for 30-60 seconds. Transfer to cold water and cool for 1-2 minutes before draining.
  2. Remove skins and pits by cutting peaches in half and twisting apart, discarding pits.
  3. Cut peeled peaches into smaller pieces, place them in a large saucepan with ½ cup water, and simmer over medium heat until soft.
  4. Blend the peach mixture until smooth using a food processor or immersion blender.
  5. Combine the peach pulp with sugar in a saucepan, stirring until dissolved.
  6. Cook over medium-high heat until thickened enough to mound on a spoon.
  7. Jar the peach butter with appropriate headspace if canning.
