- 1/2 lb. orecchiette pasta
- Kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 lb. cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2 tablespoons basil pesto
- 1/2 lb. ciliegene (small balls) mozzarella
- Fresh basil leaves
- Fresh cracked black pepper
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water, then add orecchiette and cook until al dente (about 9 minutes). Drain, reserving some cooking liquid.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over high heat. Sauté halved cherry tomatoes for 30 seconds.
- Add cooked pasta and basil pesto to the skillet; stir for 1 minute to coat.
- Fold in mozzarella and fresh basil leaves before serving. Season with pepper.
