  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 carrots, julienned
  • 2 bell peppers, thinly sliced
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade and coat evenly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and stir-fry the marinated beef until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté onions and carrots until softened (about 3-5 minutes), then add bell peppers and cook until slightly softened (2-3 minutes).
  5. Return the beef to the skillet and combine with vegetables for another minute before serving over cooked rice.
