  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked beef with onions and spices.
  4. In a baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half the beef mixture and half the cream of mushroom soup mixed with milk. Repeat layers.
  5. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and drizzle melted butter over it. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly.
