  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon pineapple juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, pineapple juice, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and add shrimp. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until pink; remove from skillet.
  3. Sauté minced garlic and grated ginger in the same skillet until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  4. Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet; stir and let simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add shrimp back into the skillet; toss to coat with the sauce and simmer for another minute.
  6. Stir in chopped pineapple and cook for an additional minute.
  7. Drizzle with sesame oil; toss again before removing from heat.
  8. Add lime juice and cilantro just before serving; garnish with sliced green onions.
