  • 1 demi baguette
  • ½ cup basil pesto
  • Black gel food coloring
  • 12 ounces cherry tomatoes
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Place mozzarella pearls in a silicone skull mold on a baking sheet; bake for 6-7 minutes until melted.
  3. Increase oven temperature to 475°F. Halve cherry tomatoes, drizzle with olive oil, and season. Roast for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Slice baguette into ½-inch pieces; toast in the oven for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Mix basil pesto with black gel food coloring until desired shade is achieved.
  6. Spread black pesto on toasted bread, top with roasted tomatoes and mozzarella skulls, then return to the oven for an additional 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden.
  7. Serve garnished with fresh basil and balsamic glaze.
