  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 limes, juiced and zested
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 4 cups shredded cabbage (green or red, or a mix)
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 12 corn or flour tortillas
  • Optional toppings: avocado slices, hot sauce, pickled onions

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fish by patting dry and seasoning with a spice rub.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook the seasoned fish for 3-4 minutes on each side until done.
  3. For lime crema, whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice/zest, garlic, and cilantro.
  4. Mix slaw ingredients in a bowl and dress with lime juice and olive oil.
  5. Warm tortillas and assemble tacos by layering slaw and fish topped with lime crema.
