  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water (slurry for thickening)
  • 4 large tortillas or flatbreads
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce or cabbage
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • ½ cucumber, sliced into matchsticks
  • ½ red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley leaves (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or yogurt-based sauce (optional spread)
  • Sesame seeds or green onions (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together hot chili sauce, honey, vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and minced garlic to create the sauce.
  2. Mix cornstarch with water to form a slurry.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and seasonings; cook until browned (6–8 minutes).
  4. Pour sauce over the chicken; simmer for 2–3 minutes. Stir in cornstarch slurry until thickened.
  5. Prepare vegetables by slicing as desired.
  6. Warm tortillas briefly in a pan or microwave.
  7. Assemble wraps with mayo (if using), lettuce/cabbage, chicken mixture, and veggies.
