  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups almond meal
  • 5 large eggs (2 for filling, 3 for custard)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
  • 8 tablespoons sliced almonds

Instructions
