- 1.5 lbs boneless beef belly
- 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce

- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, minced
- 1 star anise
- 2 scallions, chopped
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
- Marinate the beef belly by combining it with hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, ginger, and star anise in a mixing bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the marinated beef belly in a roasting pan and roast for about 1.5 – 2 hours until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
- Increase the oven temperature to broil and brush the beef with remaining marinade. Broil for 2-3 minutes until caramelized.
- Prepare the creamy sauce by whisking together mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
- Slice the beef belly into thick pieces, drizzle with creamy sauce, and garnish with chopped scallions and sesame seeds.
