  • 1 pound Turkey Bacon
  • 1 tablespoon tallow or Turkey Bacon grease
  • 1 pound boneless sirloin, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups beef broth (homemade or store-bought)
  • Kosher salt (to taste)
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon chili powder

Instructions

  1. Cook the Turkey Bacon until crispy and set aside.
  2. Preheat a Dutch oven over medium-high heat; add tallow or grease.
  3. Sear the sirloin chunks for 2-3 minutes per side; remove from pot.
  4. Brown the ground beef with optional spices for about 15 minutes.
  5. Return sirloin to pot; add beef broth.
  6. Bring to a boil, then simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes.
  7. Crumble reserved Turkey Bacon into the chili before serving.
