  • 1/2 cup salted butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups almond flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for syrup)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract (for syrup)
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the syrup by combining sugar, water, and almond extract in a saucepan over medium heat until dissolved. Let cool.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, sugar, almond flour, egg, almond extract, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Slice the day-old croissants in half and fill each with the almond mixture.
  5. Brush each filled croissant with syrup and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
  6. Bake for approximately 13 minutes or until golden brown.
