  • ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • ½ cup (100 g) packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and finely chopped
  • ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar (for rolling)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture; mix until combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients; mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in chopped apples gently.
  7. In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon for rolling.
  8. Roll dough into balls, coat in cinnamon sugar, and place on the baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are golden; cool before serving.
